The CSS Nuese was an iron clad ship from the Civil War days. A museum for the Nuese was build last year in Kinston, NC. Images In Tile was tasked in creating two large tile murals that would adorn the exterior of the museum and become a public art venue. The first image is the insignia from the Nuese and the second is of Captain Price who ran the ship and her crew. The greatest challenge was working with images that are well over 100 years old. Our graphic design professionals spent countless hours re-digitizing the images so that the murals could be made as they are. Again, IIT is proud to be able to share these historic images in such a public space.
